What free means here
Free online censoring tools tend to mean one of three things: a watermark, a cap so low it only fits a clip, or a page that asks you to upload a private video and says nothing about where it goes. It is worth knowing which one you are looking at before you drop a file in.
Redactify's free tier is a credit grant: 30 credits when you sign up, no card. One credit is one minute of audio censoring, and a minute of video with mouth blur costs two, so the grant is thirty minutes of audio or fifteen minutes of video with blur, in one file or several, with files up to 500 MB on the free plan. You can also try it without an account at all, right here on this page: the trial box above censors the first 90 seconds of a file under 250 MB and shows you the result, and you only make an account if you want to download it.
What free does not include is the Pro features: custom word lists, a custom replacement sound, subtitle export, bulk upload and reprocessing an edited job. Everything else, including mouth blur, every category and every preset, is the same on every plan. Your files are private, used only to process your job, deleted automatically after 30 days, and you can delete a job sooner yourself. When the credits run out, Pro is $5 a month for 75 credits, or top up at $0.10 a credit with no subscription.

Do I need a credit card to start?

What is the difference between the trial box and a free account?
The trial needs no account and censors the first 90 seconds of a file under 250 MB so you can see and hear the result. A free account gets 30 credits to censor whole files, up to 500 MB each, and to download them.
Is my video public?
No. Only you can see your jobs, they are used only to process your file, and they are deleted after 30 days.
How long are my files kept?
Jobs are kept for 30 days so you can come back and download, then deleted automatically. You can delete them sooner yourself.
