What is Redactify?
Redactify censors swearing in video and audio you have already recorded. Upload a file, pick what to catch, review the list and download a clean copy.
Try it free- What it does
- Finds each swear in an uploaded video or audio file and bleeps, mutes or replaces it with your own sound, timed to the word. Optionally blurs the speaker's mouth during each censored word so it can't be lip-read.
- What it is not
- Redactify works on finished files only (upload, process, download). It does not censor live streams or calls in real time, and it is not a document or PII redaction tool.
- Censor styles
- Bleep, silence (mute), or a custom sound you upload. Every detection is listed with a timestamp to review, untick or edit before you download.
- What it catches
- Platform presets (TikTok Safe, YouTube Ad-Friendly, Twitch Safe, Instagram Safe, Maximum Filter) or individual categories such as common swearing, slurs and sexual content. Pro and Premium can add their own words to catch or never catch, in saved word lists.
- Mouth blur
- For on-camera speakers, you mark each face once and the blur follows the mouth for the length of each censored word. It applies to video files only and costs 2 credits a minute; audio costs 1.
- Formats
- Video: MP4, MOV, AVI, WEBM, MKV. Audio: MP3, WAV, M4A, FLAC, AAC.
- File limits
- Up to 8 hours per file. Maximum file size depends on the plan: 500 MB on Free, 2 GB on Pro and 5 GB on Premium.
- Languages
- English, plus Spanish, French, German and Portuguese in beta, where accuracy may vary.
- Pricing
- Free to try with 30 credits and no card. Pro is $5/month for 75 credits, Premium $20/month for 350, and top-ups are $0.10 a credit. 1 credit covers 1 minute of audio.
- Privacy and retention
- Uploaded files and results are deleted automatically after 30 days, and you can delete any job or your whole account at any time. Mouth blur needs your explicit consent first. Details are in the Privacy Policy and Video Processing Terms.
